I have used FTR Renovation & Build for multiple jobs at my house and have always had fantastic experiences.  Rafi comes over, takes the time to examine the problem and think about a solution that won't break the bank, but will actually fix the problem.  They have redone our roof, done plumbing work in the kitchen and bathrooms, and helped to redesign and build a section of our living room. Each job has been done on time and on budget.  And when we had an issue with something in the living room- the mantel on the fireplace didn't look the way we thought it would- the work was quickly and easily redone until we were happy with the result.  I have referred them to friends of mine who are looking for a contractor- I really can't say enough positive things about them.

 I was very happy with the work. The bathroom remodel which featured a "wet room" was done first 
and took approximately five weeks; the kitchen and new flooring was approximately two years later. The 
entire kitchen/flooring project took just over five months; I (and two cats) stayed in the house the entire time which was a big challenge. The contractor had people on the job site every day, which was very encouraging as I was very anxious to have the work done as quickly as possible. As I was told when I was referred to him by a neighbor, "He is not the least expensive, nor the most expensive, but he will do exactly what he tells you he is going to do." I found that to be the case.

They started on time and kept to the terms of the contract. Rafi, the owner, was on site every day. He definitely has the eye and the knowledge to know what looks good. He also knows design trends so that the result looks contemporary yet timeless. The work was performed with minimal disruption to the household. They moved all the furniture and put it back in place. I had bagged many items that were sitting on the floor and they disposed of the bags for me. The also hauled away old furniture that was bring replaced. There was no extra charge for these services. The floors are beautiful. They installed the wood laminate on the stairs as well and it looks great, with bull nose on the stair edges. Everyone who comes to the house comments on the floors. And the laminate has a wonderful grain in it that looks identical to real wood, but no scratches from dog and cat and it really seems impervious to everyday traffic. It requires very little attention to keep looking great. All in all a very professional job, finished on time with a great result. They even kept an eye on the pets so they didn't run out of the house. They have done other work for me, including putting on a new roof and cleaning up a room where water had come in from the ground in a heavy rain and then installing a drainage system so it hasn't happened again. They also refinished the ceilings in several areas of the house, taking out the "cottage cheese". I've been very pleased with the results of the work and the manner in which it was performed. I will definitely continue to use this company for future work.

I originally came across FTR Renovation & Build when they called me through a sales call list. I just happened to be looking for a contractor to help me remodel 3 very antiquated bathrooms. I had received quotes from 5 other contractors at the time when FTR happened to call randomly. So I decided to meet with their sales person and see what they had to say. FTR had the best BBB rating, customer references (I spoke with 2 prior customers), CA contractor bureau rating (called the bureau), fully insured, and the best price out of all the contractors. Their guys did an EXCELLENT job on all 3 bathrooms (gut renovation). In 3 months they only missed one day and had a good reason for it. They helped me pick all my materials, made recommendations, and even drove me 20 miles away on several occasions to pick up a new marble counter top when the one I had on custom order with another company didn't fit right. The sales person or the owner was around at least 4 times a week checking on the work done by their workers and making sure it was acceptable. Then two weeks ago we put on a new roof on our house and repainted the exterior, and I went with FTR again after doing my homework with other contractors, and again these guys were hands down the best. The area was swept every day after they were done for the night. And their guys were down on their hands and knees looking for random nails that may have dropped! Like one of the comments made before, there were a few bumps (which is expected when you do major remodeling of any sort) but they have always fixed it exactly to my liking (and I can be very demanding!). We are planning to do a significant addition to our home in the next year, and I will only trust these guys to do it. The good part is that they are GCs, and they have their own long termed staff that does roofing, painting, tile work, electrical, etc. I hate contractors who keep subbing out their work since they then have little to no control over the subs. These guys are top notch, very professional, trustworthy, timely, and very competitively priced. If you're looking for a contractor and these guys service your area, you should go with them without a doubt whatsoever!

Our experience with FTR Renovation & Build was wonderful. They just finished up a major overhaul on our home including laminate floors, granite countertops, removal of wallpaper and acoustic on the ceiling, texture and paint on ceilings and walls, wiring and installation of ceiling fans, and recessed lighting. Everyone that came to our house was extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. All of the work was completed ahead of schedule, and the estimate was very competitive.
